Data Protection Policy

Our data protection declarations in the following are in compliance with the currently valid regulations according to the German Federal Data Protection Act / Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG) as well as with the rules as laid down in the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that will be applicable as of May 25th, 2018 in all EU member states. All references to the legal bases of the GDRP shall govern as of May 25th 2018.

Data protection controller

Use of data

We shall process your personal data only as far as you have placed such data at our disposal to initiate and/or conclude a business contract. Legal basis is Article 6, paragraph 1, point b) GDPR i.e. you are placing such data at our disposal for the purpose of dealings prior to/ in connection with the conclusion of a contract between you and Mahr Unipre. Thereupon you will be assigned a supplier, prospective customer or customer ID. This assignment is based on Article 6, chapter 1, point f) GDPR and will allow you and us to communicate in the best possible way. Storage of all data that have been obtained for the processing of a contract shall end upon expiry of legal or contractual (if any) warranty and gurantee rights. At the end of this period we will keep those data of the contractual relationship which are stipulated in commercial and fiscal laws for the legally defined terms in line with Article 6, chapter 1, point c) GDRP. During this period of time (regular term is 10 years as from conclusion of the contract) the data shall only be processed again in case of an audit through the fiscal authorities.

Rights of data subject

As (potential) customer or supplier you have the following rights:

  • right of information about the personal data that we store
  • right of rectification of incorrect or completion of your personal data
  • right to erasure of the stored data or in case of the legal duty to preserve records right of restriction of data processing
  • right to data portability, i.e. right to receive your stored personal data in a structured format
  • right to withdraw a previously given permit to process your data
  • on the basis of Article 21, chapter 1 GDPR the data subject has the the right to object to the processing of personal data on grounds relating to the particular situation of the data subject
  • right to lodge a claim with a supervisory authority, especially with the supervisory authority responsible for us: Land Commissioner for Data Protection North Rhine-Westphalia

Usage behavior
Every web server automatically registers accesses to websites. This information is stored anonymously. It is not possible to identify you in person or your individual behavior. For our newsletter we use software that stores usage behavior on an anonymous basis. The hyperlinks that are clicked on are registered, but cannot be attributed to an individual person. We produce profile information on the use of our websites and our newsletter on a purely anonymized basis and only in the interests of improving user management and optimizing our offering based on users' interests. We do not register individual behavior.

We do not use cookies at present, but reserve the right to decide to use them in future. Cookies serve to simplify Internet usage and communication. If you wish, you can block all cookies generally via your web browser or decide if you want a message asking if you want to allow storage of cookies or not. Cookies are small chains of text (max. 4 KB); they enable an online supplier to store specific information relating to the user on the PC of the online user. Without such 'interim storage', which is limited in terms of time, data that has already been input would have to be entered again for some applications.

  • A cookie only contains data that a server issues or/and that the user enters on request. Structure: Information on domain, path, expiry date, cookie name and value.
  • A cookie cannot harm a hard drive.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", i.e. text files that are placed on your computer and allow an analysis of how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie on how you use the website are typically transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the United States. If IP anonymisation is activated on the website, your IP address will however first be shortened within the area of the member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
